God Promises To Be Faithful!

We serve a faithful God — He is the God of more than enough! Not only does He promise to meet our needs, He promises to give us enough to meet the needs of others, too.

2 Corinthians 9:10 (NAS) says, “Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness”
When we are sower’s — when we give of our resources, our time, talent, finances and possessions — God promises to multiply those resources so that we can continue to be a blessing to the people around us. We might look at what we have in our hand today and think, “This doesn’t look like much.” But understand that when we give God what we have, He’ll turn it into more than enough! The Bible tells us that Jesus fed a crowd of over 5,000 people by multiplying the lunch of a small boy, and He can multiply whatever we have in our hand, too.

Today, dedicate what you have to the Lord. Ask Him where and how you can be an effective sower so that you can be a blessing to others. As you do, He’ll continue to pour out His blessing and abundance on you, and you will live fulfilled and satisfied all the days of your life.

Remember 2 Corinthians 9:10 (NAS), “Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness”!

Don't lose your peace!

We’ve all been in seasons of life when we feel like things aren’t going our way, or we’re not where we want to be. In these times, it’s tempting to let discouragement and doubt come in and take away the peace and excitement you once had.

David says, “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me” (Psalm 23:4, NIV)

You may be in one of those seasons right now, struggling to truly be happy where you are. But this is not the way God wants you to live. He tells us in scripture that even in the difficult times, He is with us. Even when we can’t see a way out, He will make a way through. Even when things don’t turn out the way we planned, He has a plan to turn things around for our good.

The key is, don’t get upset about your circumstances. Instead, be determined to walk through to victory. Declare by faith that no weapon formed against you shall prosper. Declare by faith that you are rising higher. Keep standing, keep believing and keep hoping because God has a bright future in store for you!

Takes More Than A Snickers Bar!

In the natural, what do you do when you’re hungry and just not sure what will satisfy you? You may try to think of what to eat, but maybe you’re not sure what will hit the spot. Makes me think of those Snicker’s candy bar commercials where the person acts weird until they eat a Snickers and satisfy their hunger.

Spiritual hunger works the same way. You may feel a restlessness or unsettledness, but you can’t quite figure out what will satisfy it. You may try to fill that need with other things — food, addictions, people — but only God can fill that hunger.

Matthew 5:6, (“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled”) tells us what will fill that hunger in our soul — righteousness. When we hunger and thirst for righteousness, which is God’s way of doing things, we will be spiritually satisfied. But just like we have to take time to eat in the natural, we have to take time to “eat” or partake of God’s righteousness.

When we spend time in prayer, worship and reading His Word, we are partaking of His righteousness. We are filling our soul. The more time we spend with Him, the more He will fill us and satisfy our hunger all the days of our life! Oh, and it lasts longer than a Snickers bar!

No matter what is happening in your life today, as a believer in Jesus, you have a reason to be excited about your future! "But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day"(Proverbs 4:18, ESV). Don't you just love this scripture! Our path, as the righteous, only gets brighter and brighter! I think I want to shout!

If things seem dark right now, know that the dawn will soon appear. The key is you have to remember that you are not here by accident. You have a purpose and destiny to fulfill, and He isn't finished with you yet. Your best days are not behind you; your best days are out in front of you. One thing I know is that God is a God of increase. He has greater things in store for your future than you have experienced in your past.

A Pastor friend of mine says it this way, "His dream for your future is so much bigger than your own. He wants to take you places that you've never dreamed and open up doors that you've never imagined. He wants to bring talent out of you that you didn't even know you had. He wants to increase you and cause you to be a greater blessing to the people around you." I say, AMEN!
Today, get your faith up and get excited about your future! Begin to thank Him for what He has in store. Keep standing, keep believing and keep moving forward because God has explosive blessings in store for you!

More Grace

So many people today live in guilt and condemnation over their past mistakes and wrongdoings. They have this attitude that they are too far gone or they've made too many mistakes. They think that if they walk into church, the roof will cave in. If that's you, nothing could be further from the truth! It doesn't matter what you've done, it doesn't matter where you've been; God's grace is enough. Scripture says that we are saved "by grace through faith" (Ephesians 2:4-10). Grace is His unmerited favor upon you. You can't earn it no matter how "good" you act, but He's offering it to you as a free gift. His grace is what empowers you to change and live the life He's called you to. Don't you just love Romans 5:20, "...But where sin increased, grace increased all the more".

Today, don't live another minute in regret, condemnation, heaviness or despair. Receive His grace. It's as easy as opening your heart and inviting Him to change your life. Remember, there's nothing you could ever do that His grace can't bring you through. So open your heart to Him and receive it today!

When you have a chance today pray this; Heavenly Father, thank You for Your grace upon my life. Thank You for receiving me no matter what I've done. I receive Your love and forgiveness. I commit myself to You today and all the days of my life. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

God Bless You,

Pastor Kevin

A REMOTE MOUNTAIN

It’s amazing what can be accomplished when all the normal routines and distractions are removed. In quietness and rest, we can hear God with real clarity. We hear Him speak about our destiny and give us comfort and encouragement in our struggles. Maybe that’s why God told us to rest weekly, just sayin! This past week, I had the chance to get away to the mountains of North Carolina for rest and golf. When I first arrived, the mountain cabin we reserved had a broken air conditioner and it was hotter than… (I’ll let you fill in the blank). The room they moved us to was significantly bigger, but more remote. More remote, on the side of an already remote mountain seemed way to remote. Did I tell you it was remote? Because it was. The 15 inch TV had non-functioning rabbit ears. So, I decided it was a great opportunity to talk to the Lord.

The first night, I ran across a passage of scripture that really encouraged me. Psalm 13:5-6, “I've thrown myself headlong into your arms —
I'm celebrating your rescue. (6) I'm singing at the top of my lungs, I'm so full of answered prayers.” (THE MESSAGE.) David is in the middle of several chapters of telling God how hopeless and bad the circumstances are. His conclusion is this; when you have a ton of trouble and feel like your enemy has looked down his nose at you long enough, totally trust (I've thrown myself headlong into your arms) and worship loudly (I'm singing at the top of my lungs) your Heavenly Father. The result is awesome: we celebrate His rescue and are full of His answered prayers. Sounds like a dance party to me! Remember, God is still at work in your life. Keep your hopes up. Keep expecting. Keep believing. And find a remote mountain somewhere.

Blessing,

Pastor Kevin
